Placing bets on betBTC is a straightforward process designed for both beginners and experienced users.

Below is a step-by-step guide to help you navigate and place your first bet successfully:

Step 1: Access and Sign In to Your Account

  • Go to the website. On the homepage, you will see the most popular betting markets displayed. To place bets, you need to sign in using one of the available wallet options.

Supported login options include Internet Identity, NFID, Plug Bitfinity, Xverse, Metmask , TrustWallet, and Magic Eden. More details in the Wallet Section.

Step 2: Select a Market to Bet On

  • On the homepage, you'll see different market options including:

    • Featured Markets

    • Regional Markets: U.S., Japan, China, LatAm

    • Finance Markets: Crypto, Bitcoin, Stocks

    • Sports Markets: UEFA, NFL

    • Exotic Markets: GCR, Saylor, E-Sports

Step 3: Analyze the Market & Choose an Option

Choose a market of interest and click on the market question you want to make a bet.

Single Outcome Market

In a single-outcome market, you will see two options: Bet Yes or Bet No. Here’s how to place your bet in single outcome market:

  • Choose Your Selection: Decide if you want to bet "Yes" or "No" on the outcome.

  • View Details: Once you click on "Bet Yes" or "Bet No," additional information will appear, such as:

    • Average Price: The current average price per token.

    • Tokens: Number of tokens you can receive based on your bet amount.

    • Potential Return: An estimate of your potential return if your prediction is correct.

Multiple Outcome Market

In a multi-outcome market, there are multiple options with both Bet Yes and Bet No choices for each outcome. Follow these steps:

Similarly, choose one of the listed outcomes and decide whether to bet "Yes" or "No" on that specific outcome. Review additional Details and enter the amount you wish to wager on the chosen outcome. Slide the bar to finalize your bet.

Step 4: Make your bet

Specify the amount you want to bet and slide the confirmation bar to complete your bet.

You can choose between BTC (Satoshis) or USD by toggling between the currency options. For example: Enter 100,000 SAT (Satoshis) or $100 USD as your wager.

Step 5: Track Your Bets

After placing a bet, the market will automatically appear in your Watchlist. You can monitor the market’s progress directly from your Watchlist and view all related transactions under the Transactions tab in the Activity page.

This section provides a comprehensive history of your bets, potential winnings, and resolved outcomes, allowing you to keep track of your betting activity in detail.

Winnings Distribution

Winnings distribution on betBTC is structured differently for single-outcome markets and multi-outcome markets, ensuring a fair and transparent payout mechanism based on the selected options.

Single-Outcome Markets:

  • If the "Yes" outcome wins, all funds from the "No" pool are transferred to the "Yes" pool and distributed among "Yes" bettors proportionally.

  • Conversely, if "No" wins, the funds from the "Yes" pool are distributed to "No" bettors.

Multi-Outcome Markets:

In multi-outcome markets, winnings distribution operates based on the winning outcome(s):

  • if there are two options, Option A and Option B, each with "Yes" and "No" choices.

  • If Option A - Yes wins:

    • Funds from Option A - No will be distributed to Option A - Yes bettors.

    • Since Option B - No is technically "correct" (because Option B - Yes did not occur), the Option B - Yes pool is distributed to the Option B - No pool.

Special Cases:

  1. If all selected outcomes are winners (i.e., a situation where everyone’s bet wins): All bettors receive their original funds back without the platform's 2.5% fee.

  2. If no selected outcomes are winners (i.e., an outcome where no winning option is available): All funds are retained by betBTC, and no distribution occurs to bettors.
